there is apparently a grid, but hidden by a pay wall.
no symbols, no connectors.
curve creation has only a follow the pen mode with no control at all.
quite basic in what it proposes.
Summary: Far too simple for artists, not enough specialized features to be a special purpose application, so probably designed to be an application in the class I want MetaDraw to be, but it feel unfinished even for that purpose. Well, that could very well be the fate of MetaDraw, if it goes that far.
